|Grant making app
Dulverton Trust has developed a fully customised version of the
Salesforce CRM platform intended specifically for managing the
grant-making cycle. We are delighted to make this available to
grant-making charities, free-of-charge.
What is Salesforce? Salesforce is one of the leading
cloud-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. The system
is built to be flexible and customisable. This means that the system is
used by companies such as banks and airlines, as well as non-profit
organisations. The Salesforce Foundation offers all charities and not
for profit organisations up to 10 free licences together with a heavily
discounted rate on further licences.
What is the Dulverton Grant making 'app'? To help
organisations customise their use of Salesforce without re-inventing
the wheel, Salesforce runs the 'appexchange'.
Much like Apple's 'Appstore', Salesforce customers can download 'apps'
from the Appexchange to give their version of Salesforce specific extra
functionality. The Dulverton Trust has loaded an app to the appexchange
that customises the 'out-of-the-box' sales-oriented layout of
Salesforce to a grant-making layout.
How do I get the 10 free Salesforce licenses? First,
you need to sign-up for the free 30 day trial of the Enterprise Edition
of Salesforce. Do that here.
Then click here
to apply for your 10 free-of-charge licences. Note that you require
these licenses before you can download any apps.
How do I get the Dulverton 'app'? Click
to access a read-only test-drive of the Dulverton app, as well as
instructions for how to request the app password. Please be aware that
only direct requests from grant-making trusts can be considered and the
Dulverton Trust reserves the right to refuse access.
What next? The Dulverton ‘app’
provides a basic framework for managing the grant making process using
Salesforce and may well be all that is needed by a start-up Trust or
Foundation. Established Trusts will want to configure the app to match their
business processes and will need to import data from their existing grant
management system. All users may want to add extra functionality. This is all
relatively straightforward in Salesforce but you may want to seek help from a
consultant. See Terms and Conditions of Use below.
The Dulverton Trust App is provided 'as is' without warranty of any
kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, the
implied warranties of fitness for a purpose, or the warranty of

Dulverton Trust App provides a framework on which to build a system and
contains many of the features and basic procedures needed to manage
grant-making processes. However for any other members wishing to use
Salesforce, there will still be some work involved to make the system
ready to use, such as configuring the work flow to suit the way you
distribute grants, adding any integrations with websites or external
systems such as email, as well as adding any automation you may want to
include. A significant task will also be populating the system with
your data via migration or manual entry process, depending on your
