Binda Patel appointed as Director of the Trust

The Trustees and staff of the Dulverton Trust are delighted to announce the appointment of Binda Patel as the Trust’s new Director. Binda joins from the Sutton Trust, a charity championing social mobility in the UK. She has dedicated over 15 years of her career to working with charities and held several trustee positions, including the Diana Award and Arts Emergency.

Commenting on her appointment, Binda said: “There are many elements of our society that are incredibly fragile, yet the charities supported by the Dulverton Trust are undertaking high-impact work that is changing countless lives and improving our natural world for generations to come. I feel humbled to be appointed as the incoming Director and look forward to continuing the brilliant work and working closely with our partners.”

Christopher Wills, Chairman of the Dulverton Trust, said “I and my fellow Trustees were very pleased to appoint Binda, who was an outstanding candidate in what was a highly competitive recruitment process. We look forward to welcoming her to the Trust in July”.

One of Binda’s key responsibilities will be ensuring the Dulverton Trust continues to play a significant role in supporting charities tackling social issues, protecting our natural world and preserving our heritage.

Binda will take up her new role in July 2024.
